Iron Infusion Therapy at EGMC

A safe and effective treatment designed to restore iron levels quickly. Starting April 4, 2026, available weekends for your convenience.

What it is

What Is Iron Infusion Therapy?

Iron infusion therapy delivers iron directly into your bloodstream through an IV. Unlike oral supplements, which can take weeks or months to work and may cause side effects, infusions provide faster absorption and quicker results.

This makes it an ideal solution for patients who need efficient and reliable iron replenishment under professional supervision.

Who it helps

Who Can Benefit from Iron Infusions?

Iron infusion therapy may be recommended if you have any of the following:

  • Iron deficiency anemia
  • Ongoing fatigue, weakness, or shortness of breath
  • Recovering from chemotherapy
  • Heavy menstrual bleeding
  • Pregnancy or postpartum recovery
  • Difficulty tolerating or absorbing oral iron
  • Recovering from surgery or chronic illness

If you are unsure, our clinical team can assess your symptoms and lab results to determine if this treatment is right for you.

Your visit

What to Expect During Your Visit

At EGMC, your comfort and safety comes first. A typical session looks like this:

  1. Assessment and preparation

A healthcare professional reviews your medical history and confirms your treatment plan.

  2. IV infusion

Iron is administered through a small IV, usually over 30 to 60 minutes.

  3. Monitoring and aftercare

You will be monitored throughout the session to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience.

Most patients begin to notice improved energy levels within days to a few weeks, depending on their condition.
